St John Ambulance Jamaica is a registered charity and a humanitarian organization operating in Jamaica for over 120 years. We enable individuals to preserve their health, and quality of life through ambulance services, training, health care resources, relief, and charitable services to the community. We have a rich heritage of caring, compassion and healthcare. Promoting the relief of sickness, distress, and suffering. Helping others at some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives.

We are an association of the international Order of St John which is a working Order of Chivalry and a modern charitable organization delivering first aid, healthcare, and support services around the world.

St John Ambulance promotes physical, mental, and spiritual health and resilience in 44 countries, mostly in the Commonwealth. The Order delivers its charitable activities through local St John Ambulance organizations such as St John Ambulance Jamaica and the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital in Jerusalem.

St John Jamaica is the charity that consistently steps forward in the moments that matter to save lives and provide invaluable relief and support to our communities. We provide first aid training and Ambulance support services at very low costs as part of our mission for service.   

St John Ambulance Jamaica has a very proud record of service by providing help in times of national disasters throughout the country and to some of the Caribbean neighbours. Currently we have over 500 volunteers based all around the island providing over 10,000 hours of service to their communities and we have trained thousands of people in first aid and other healthcare activities.   

The Order of St John itself is an Order of Chivalry of the British Crown. His Majesty the King, the Sovereign Head of the Order, honours individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the work of St John, by awarding membership, at different grades, in the Order. The Order is a Christian Order, founded on Christian principles and all we do is inspired by Christian ideals. However, we warmly welcome people of any faith or no faith, who are motivated to share in our mission.   

We provide first aid training to numerous organizations in the public and private sectors. Our volunteering duties include first aid coverage for public, official and state functions as well as corporate and private events.
